I'm Miles Carnegie
Miles Carnegie here.
I write horror and sci-fi about bad systems, worse people, and the moment the floor gives way.
After years in IT, I’ve learned that every machine has a ghost and every company calls it a feature. The stories here live in the narrowing space between the page and the news feed. Corporate rot. Glitchy archives. Ordinary lives with one bad seam splitting open.
I file it under fiction for legal reasons.
You’ll find serial fiction, short horror, sci-fi, and the occasional thing that followed me home and wouldn’t shut up. Some are mean. Some are strange. Most leave a mark.
If you’re new here, start with the links below:
⭐️ Start Here: This Book May Kill You
A horror serial about stories, control, and what happens when the thing on the page starts noticing you.
⭐️ Start Here: This is Not a Sequel
A follow-up that is not a follow-up, except in all the ways that matter. Same rot, new cracks.
⭐️ Hidden Tracks: Before the Story, the Song
Each story takes its title from a song I thought I understood. Then I twisted it. Took it somewhere darker than the song was willing to go. You don’t need to know the songs to get the stories. But if you do know them, the next time one comes on, it’s going to sit differently. That’s not an accident. That’s the whole point.

Why This Exists
Because the world keeps getting weirder in the dumbest possible ways.
Because horror still tells the truth faster than realism does.
Because some stories let you look straight at the thing under the floorboards, and some stories pry up the boards for you.
That’s what I’m trying to do here.
